EFD: CHARGING OF MEALS
Parents/guardian should prepay their student’s school meal account for meals and snacks, and replenish the account as needed. Payments can be made online or by sending funds to school.
The Kittery School Nutrition Program uses a point of sale system to track all student transactions, including deposits and purchases. Parents/guardian will be notified of negative balances by email alert, written notice, and/or phone calls.
The Kittery School Committee believes that a hungry child is not an efficient learner; therefore, standard school meals, not including a la carte items, can be purchased even if an account carries a negative balance.
As a general rule, adult employees should maintain a positive balance on their lunch account.
